The Diocese of Lincoln recently surpassed the minimum goal of the most ambitious diocesan-wide effort to date. With 9,300 gifts received, over $63.1 million has been pledged to the Joy of the Gospel campaign; 119% of the original $53 million goal.

This money will be used to support the important ministries of this strong Catholic community – the education of children, the formation and retirement of priests, the proclamation of the Gospel, and the work and ministry of every parish. The campaign also addresses other key areas including support for the expansion of St. Gregory the Great seminary, creating new avenues for Evangelization, and local initiatives. It is an effort to bring the joy of Jesus Christ to every person in the Diocese.

A mix of leadership gifts secured by Bishop James D. Conley and a large grassroots effort through the 134 parishes has received an unprecedented level of support. The Diocese as a whole has received over $74 million from 10,847 gifts when parishes with special projects are included.
